Cooperative "Kulen" from Bački Petrovac to start construction of unit for production of Petrovac's kulen sausage

Sinc last year, when Petrovac's kulen sausage entered the registry of brand with geographic origin, the demand for this Slovakian gastronomic specialty has been increased, but, as the CEO of the Collective farm "Kulen" in Bački Petrovac, Jaroslav Popović, explained, there are still no conditions for mass production.

However, as Popović explains, that maybe happens in the future because the land in industrial zone in Bački Petrovac was provided last year and the cooperative obtained about 30,000 EUR to start construction of the hall. However, due to voluminous paperworks, nothing has been started yet.

- We expect to start construction at the end of June or at the beginning of July - said Popović and pointed out that kulen sausage would be produced in tradional way, without additives, preservaties and synthetic additives.

Collective farm "Kulen" has 27 members.
