"A-Tech" offers new social program for Mining Smelter Basin "Bor" - bonus salaries for both Christmas and Easter


Workers of Mining Smelter Basin (RTB) "Bor" who become surplus manpower within the first three years after privatization will get severance pays whose amount will depend on the average price of copper on the London Metal Exchange (LMI) and, in the worst case, the severance pay will amount to 200 EUR per year of work.
This is stated in the draft of additional social program, which was suggested by Austrian company "A-Tech",
the first-ranked bidder on the tender for procurement of Bor-based copper combine.
According to the draft that has been delivered to both employees and trade union of RTB, severance pay in amount of 500 EUR will be given if the price of copper on the stock exchange remains above 8,000 USD during one year. If the price of copper is between 6,000 and 7,999 USD, severance pay will amount to 400 EUR, whereas if it is lower than 6,000 USD per ton, severance pay will amount fo 200 EUR per year of work.
"A-Tech" also guarantees to the workers of RTB that the average salary will not be lower than the current average (350 EUR), as well as that the amount of salary will be changed in accordance with the growth of living expenses.
In addition, "A-Tech" is willing to keep all 4,687 workers and to pay one average bonus salary every Christmas and every Easter starting from December 2009.
"A-Tech" obliged to use technology that will maximally protect health of the employees, with the special focus on safety on the working place.
