(Illustration) For years, recycling has been a part of the daily routine in many countries.
In some countries, like Germany, there are also machines for recycling empty glass or plastic bottles, where after you put the bottle into the machine you get money in return. For every recycled bottle Germans get around 25 cents on average.
Beijing and Surabaya have machines that give you a bus fare in return for a plastic bottle.
The biggest Australian city went a step further, so some places even give out movie tickets in exchange for used bottles.
Istanbul installed a recycling machine which is designed to give food to stray dogs and other abandoned animals, instead of money.
Each and every citizen of Istanbul can be sure that by putting only a single bottle in the machine, they will make many abandoned animals in their neighborhoods happy.
We hope that these creative recycling machines will make their way to Serbia some day.
