Biggest marina for superyachts in the Mediterranean soon in Tivat - luxury apartments, restaurants, boutiques and sports fields within Porto Montenegro complex

The future largest marina for superyachts in the Mediterranean, "Porto Montenegro" in Tivat, will expand its capacities prior to the end of this symmer, and the offer for boat owners and tourists will include luxury apartments, restaurants, boutiques with fashion brands, sports club with modern gym, squash and tennis courts and yoga and aerobic studio.

In order for the yacht owners to get complete service and stay longer at the Montenegrin seaside, Montenegro will soon start offering comprehensive services, including overhaul and maintenance of yachts. In association with Adriatic shipyard Bijela, Porto Montenegro will form a joint venture with French company CompositeWorks, which will be in charge of construction and management of capacities for overhaul of yachts of all sizes, including superyachts.

That new company will be situated on 3 ha of land at the seaside, only three nautical miles away from marina Porto Montenegro. The company will be offering comprehensive services of overhaul similar to those provided by the shipyard of CompositeWorks in France. It is expected that the company will put in operation in autumn 2010, and it will represent the base for engagement of numerous specialized collaborators.

- This partnership represents a big step towards realization of our vision to bring the industry of superyachts to Montenegro. Earlier, many owners of superyachts did not want to be stationed in the Adriatic Sea because they did not have reliable, high-quality operator that understands the specific needs and challenges that the yacht owners are facing nowadays. With the company for overhaul and maintenance of yachts, which will be formed by CompositeWorks, large number of yachts and boats for rental will be stationed in marina Porto Montenegro and enjoy such a spectacular cruising location as the Adriatic Sea - said Oliver Corlette, the Executive Director of Adriatic Marinas, which implements the "Porto Montenegro" project.

The plan for development of the "Porto Montenegro" project includes construction of the state-of-the-arts marina with 600 moorings, 140 of which for superyachts. Existing 85 moorings in that Montenegrin marina are reserved prior to June 2010.

With its impressive maritime history, experienced manpower and geographic position that is so close to one of the best cruising destinations in the Mediterranean, Montenegro will become the world's new yachting center - said Ben Mennem, co-founder of CompositeWorks.

The world's most luxury ships will be able to use the services of tax-free refueling, Yacht Assist program, and the status of international border crossing that will new marina have will make it possible for them to easily and quickly complete all the administrative procedures before entering the country.

Complex Porto Montenegro

Tourists will be offered the services of Porto Montenegro Sports Club, within the marina, with a modern gym, squash and tennis courts, bawling room and yoga and aerobic studio.

Porto Montenegro has started to get its final look, so that the first residential complex Teuta with 29 luxury apartments will be ready for tenants in June, while the works on the other two complexes - Zeta and Ozana - will start soon.

With the aim of making Porto Montenegro the leading European destination for boaters, as well as the place that will offer the comfort of stay in the vicinity of the sea, in authentic ambient and atmosphere that is characteristic for coastal towns in the south of Italy and France, several retail facilities with recognizable fashion brands and regional restaurants will be opened before the next summer.
