Labor Ministry invites employers to grant paid leave to their flood-affected workers

Considering a difficult situation the employees from flood-endangered areas have found themselves in as well as the fact that they are prevented from going to work as their homes are undergoing repairs, the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy invites employers to grant a paid leave to all their workers who reside in the areas struck by floods because they are unable to come to work, the ministry announced in a release.

In this way, employers would give their contribution to employees and their families who suffered huge material losses, the release reads.

The ministry also invites workers to behave responsibly toward their employers, especially those working for companies that also suffered huge losses because of floods.
