Piraeus Bank issues EUR 500 million three-year unsecured bond

On March 18th, Piraeus Bank successfully formed a price and sold EUR 500 million worth of three-year senior unsecured bond, with an annual coupon of 5 percent.

Demand was much stronger than expected with orders from returns-starved investors exceeding EUR 3 billion. This transaction involved over 240 institutional investors from 25 countries, which confirms that the credit arrangement of Piraeus Bank is very attractive to the international investment community.

With this bond issue, Piraeus Bank has become the first Greek bank to return to capital markets in five years, thus diversifying the sources of funding and justifying its own prospects and the prospects of the Greek economy.
