Austrians want to invest in Serbia

Austria is one of the most interesting countries of the European Union for Serbia's diaspora.

Officially, there are more than 100,000 Serbs living in that country, but it is assumed that that number is actually much bigger. Most of those who have made some success in their respectives businesses in Austria say they are interested in investing in Serbia.

Austria is one of the few countries in Europe that have overcome the economic crisis relatively easily. The main reason for this lies in its firm connection with the German economy.

Monthly salary in this country averages EUR 1,600, whereas its unemployment rate is among the Eurozone's lowest.

According to the estimates of the Serbian Business Club in Austria, there are between six and eight thousand businessmen with Serbian roots who are seriously interested in investing in their homecountry. They only wait for the situation in Serbia to improve a bit.
