Mladjan Dinkic, the leader of the opposition party United Regions of Serbia (URS), said Wednesday (13 November 2013) that Japanese airbag manufacturer Takata had officially cancelled its arrival in Serbia.

- Japan's Takata yesterday officially notified the Serbian government that they were not coming to Serbia and that they would implement their investment in one of the neighboring countries - Dinkic said in Sremska Mitrovica.

Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic stated in August that a number of foreign companies would come to Serbia, including one from Japan, and it was then hinted to eKapija that that company was Takata.

Dinkic visited Cooper Standard in Sremska Mitrovica which has got a government incentive and is going to invest EUR 30 million and hire 750 workers in that town.
