Construction Minister Velimir Ilic said Thursday that a public discussion of the Law on Planning and Construction would begin September 30th and last for one month, after which that law should be forwarded to MPs for adoption.
After opening the First Congress of the Chimney Sweepers of Serbia in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Ilic told the press that all interested parties would be able to make observations during aforementioned public discussion.
Velimir Ilic noted that the Law on Planning and Construction was already prepared, adding that its copies would be shortly distributed to ministers in the new government.
According to him, the only disputable issue is related to land conversion, while everything else has already been harmonized with EU institutions that helped to make this law modern and European, with the aim of attracting investment and accelerating the permitting process.
Ilic added that the Legalization Law, which used to be an integral part of the Law on Planning and Construction, would become a separate law.
- The Legalization Law will be the first item on the agenda for the first autumn session of the Serbian parliament on October 1st - said Ilic.
