In 2013 first seven months, Sumadija and west Serbia generate the highest exports

During the first seven months this year, the Sumadija and west Serbia regions have generated the highest share of 33, 6% in export, while Belgrade generated the highest stake of 42% when in import activities.

According to the Republic Statistical Office, Vojvodina follows with 31,8%, Belgrade region with 21,6%, region of south and east Serbia with 12,7%, and some 0,3% of exports has not been classified in territories.

After the Belgrade region, Vojvodina generated the largest share in import with 28,6%, Sumadija and west Serbia region with 20,7%, region of south and east Serbia with 7,8%, and some 0,9% of imports has not been classified in territories.

Export and import per regions has been provided according to headquarters of an owner of goods at the moment of customs declaration acceptance. This means that owners of goods, according to customs law, can be producers, consumers, exporters or importers of goods.

The fact should be considered when interpreting data in regions. For instance, oil and gas import is mostly comprised in the Vojvodina and Belgrade regions and this is fuel for the overall territory of Serbia, the Republic Statistical Office announced.

Road vehicles with USD 1,2 billion, electric machines and appliances - 606,2 mil USD, non-ferrous metals – USD 409,8 mil, metal products - 348,5 mil USD and fruit and vegetable - 329,6 mil USD had the largest stake in export.

Road vehicles have been the most imported goods, totaling USD 1,41 billion, after that oil and oil derivatives follow with USD 890 million, natural gas with USD 557,4 mil, electric machines and appliances with USD 480,6 mil and medical and pharmaceutical products with USD 405,2 mil.

The so-called unclassified goods, which now include goods incustoms warehouse, has an 8% stake in total import.
