Serbia's public debt increased by EUR 173.5 million in July

Serbia's public debt grew EUR 173.5 million in July to EUR 19.08 billion, the Public Debt Administration announced in a release on Wednesday.

The main reason for the growth of Serbia's public debt in July is the withdrawal of a USD 300 million tranche of the loan from the Russian Federation.

The share of public debt in gross domestic product at the end of July 2013 was 57.7 percent.

Since the beginning of the year, Serbia has serviced its public debt liabilities in the amount of EUR 2.81 billion with EUR 2.4 billion being the principal.
