Rudolph Giuliani in search for buyer for Telekom?

The former New York Mayor, Rudolph Giuliani, will come to Belgrade in less than two months, Kurir finds out.
As this Belgrade newspaper writes, the objective of his visit to Serbia is to talk about bringing investors who would buy Telekom.

- Serbia has already had an offer to sell Telekom for EUR 1.2 billion, while Giuliani could bring investors that could offer even two billion for the company which has systematically been destroyed in 2011 and the first half of 2012 by the former government- Kurir’s source said, adding that the government will allow sale, but it is necessary to know where the funds generated from the sale would be invested in.

- Funds generated from the sale of Telekom must end up in investments, it must not be spent – the source concludes.

We remind that Rudolph Giuliani was in Belgrade during the election campaign upon the invitation of Vucic’s Serbian Progressive Party, which is currently the backbone of the Serbian Government.
He then supported a number of economic projects of SPS, pointing out that it is not involved in politics, but that he is doing business.
In the largest domestic telecommunication operator, the Republic of Serbia owns a 78.1% stake, while the remaining 21.9% belongs to former employees (6.9%) and to citizens (15%)
