Sberbank to fund Serbian export to Russian market

Russian Sberbank is planning to become a bridge for the commercial cooperation between Serbian on the one hand and Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan on the other. It will also fund Serbian export to Russian market, as it was announced from the largest Russian business bank which bought Austrian Volksbank operating in Serbia as well.
Sergey Gorkov, Sberbank Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, said that the new financial markets expansion plan was nearing an end.- In the upcoming future, we are not planning to buy new banks in Serbia but we opt for organic growth. We have just stepped into public campaign and no later than September new programme in Serbia will start. If we are saying that Russian investments in Serbia are insufficient, then we assure you it is past – Gorkov said for RTS.
Hungarian Sberbank branch office is planning to set aside 200 million euros this year for loans for small and medium-sized enterprises, agriculture, energy efficiency projects and a part of these funds can come to Serbia as well.
- Dozens of experts are working on it and as of September, approximate investment figures will be known. There is room in all fields, from agriculture to energetic to financial sector and more favorable loans for citizens – Groove pointed out.
Russian bankers also think that according to valid forecasts, themarkets of East Europe and Serbia will se a satisfying growing trend in the next 10 years.
