With the Law of employment of persons with invalid characteristics of Serbia, whose outline was presented in the Serbian Parliament, would be introduced an obligation for employers to hire a certain number of invalids.

The outline determines rates by which the employers who hace from 20-50 emploees should be obliged to hire one person, and those who have more than 50 emploees 3% is assumed, and the state organs should have 5% of the invalids as emploees. Also, there have been determined certain encouraging measures for employers, and in case of breaking of this law there would be a compensation to be paid in the amount of a half of the average monthly income in the Republic.

By this outline it is planned to create a Fund for professional rehabilitation and training of the persons with invalidity.

Future solutions should create conditions for realization of the rights to work, bigger social integration and economic independence of invalids, which is necessary, as in Serbia only 13% of invalids is employed, and at the National service for employment there has been registered more than 25.000 of them, tough it is estimated that there is at least that much of them more.
