A step toward final development of Serbian gateway to the Danube – Location conditions issued for construction of marina near Bezdan

The Provincial Secretariat for Energy, Construction and Transport has issued location conditions for the construction of a marina near Bezdan.

The marina complex is planned to include, among other features, the marina basin, pontoons-floating structures, a vertical quay, a boat launching ramp, a multifunctional building (GF+1), sanitary facilities, a fuel supply station, internal access roads with parking, pathways, a dry-berth area, paved platforms and a waste disposal area.

As previously indicated, the main multifunctional complex will serve as a secure harbor for approximately 120 vessels.

The project is planned to be implemented in two phases.

The first phase involves the construction of the primary structures, including the marina basin, pontoons, the vertical quay and the multifunctional building. The second phase will include the construction of a fuel supply station, as well as underground tanks for Eurodiesel and MB9 fuel.

The total area of the plots is 25,715.00 m2.

The marina complex is organized into the following zones:

Zone A – Coastal Area (Territorial) – An enclosed section of the shoreline housing infrastructure facilities, designed to provide access to the marina's water area in a manner that meets the needs of both users and service providers, in accordance with port-related activities. Access to the marina complex is planned from the plot of State Road IB-16, serving as a combined vehicular and pedestrian entrance to the central part of the complex. Additionally, a children's playground, featuring seesaws, climbing frames, swings and slides, is planned within the waterfront area.

B – Water area (aquatorium) – a designated or bounded portion of a water surface intended for the reception and mooring of vessels within a nautical tourism facility.

In accordance with the planning document and the waterway classification, the marina complex includes an expansion of the water area (aquatorium). This will provide sufficient space to accommodate the planned number and types of vessels, while ensuring a channel depth that corresponds to the draft of the design vessel (plus an additional safety margin to ensure unhindered docking, even during periods of low water levels).

Provision is made for 54 passenger car parking spaces, four of which are reserved for persons with disabilities.

Pedestrian paths and plazas will be constructed within the complex to provide access to all facilities, ensuring unimpeded movement for persons with disabilities, children and the elderly.

The marina complex is planned to be equipped with street furniture, including benches, waste bins, bicycle parking, decorative planters, children's playground equipment, information boards and similar amenities.
