The marina in Bezdan will play a key role in the development of nautical tourism and the economy of this part of Serbia. Construction is expected to begin by autumn next year.
By signing the agreement, Sombor and Bezdan will have a new opportunity to become a recognizable destination on the tourist map of Serbia and the region, the Ministry announced.
– This will be one of the most representative nautical tourism facilities in Serbia and an opportunity for Sombor to become a leader in nautical tourism in the region – said Uros Kandic.
The officials also visited the works on the new sports complex in the “Rokovačka suma” location, where, thanks to funds of 80 million dinars, the construction of a modern fitness track, a mini-football field, an outdoor gym and a children’s playground is underway.
As a reminder, the future marina will have the capacity to accommodate 20 vessels, and the tender for the development of project and technical documentation for the construction was recently completed, but the winners have not yet been selected.
