Teklas Automotive to get new rubber production capacity in Vladicin Han

The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure has issued location requirements to Teklas Automotive d.o.o. for the expansion, reconstruction, repurposing and adaptation of a warehouse (Facility No. 4) into an industrial facility for rubber production in Vladicin Han.

As specified, the cadastral plot in Lepenica falls within the scope of the Detailed Regulation Plan for the Vladicin Han Industrial Zone, specifically within Zone 1, on land designated for production plants and industrial zones.

The project aims to repurpose a building, previously used as a rack-based warehouse for parts, into a facility for industrial rubber production. The building is positioned such that one of its facades adjoins the existing factory complex, establishing a physical connection.

– This facility produces rubber compounds for EPDM-reinforced cooling hoses used in the automotive industry. These are not finished products, but rather semi-finished goods that undergo further processing and finalization in an adjacent, existing facility. The rubber compound produced here serves as an intermediate product. Once the mixing process is complete, it is transported to the neighboring production plant, where the rubber is used for subsequent manufacturing stages to form the final cooling hoses. This facility handles the extrusion of rubber profiles, the forming of hoses with specific geometries, the incorporation of textile or other reinforcing layers, the potential co-extrusion of additional layers, vulcanization, final processing, quality control and the packaging of finished products intended for delivery to automotive manufacturers and their suppliers – it is specified in the site development conditions.

Let us remind that the production complex for the automotive industry in the settlement of Lepenica, near Vladicin Han, is set to be expanded. This was announced during the summer, following the Municipal Administration's issuance of a building permit for the extension and adaptation of the existing production hall.

By the way, the first Teklas Automotive factory opened in Vladicin Han in April 2016, and in 2017, construction began on a new facility, as well as a swimming pool for the workers.
