Construction of eight roundabouts from Pupin Bridge to New Belgrade to cost EUR 44.7 million – Tender for contractors announced

The City of Belgrade has launched a public procurement procedure worth 5.248 billion dinars, or approximately EUR 44.7 million, for the construction of the T6 thoroughfare, stretching from Vojvodjanska Street to the highway, and for the reconstruction and construction of eight roundabouts along the route, according to the tender documentation. The project also encompasses the preparation of technical documentation and technical review services.

Plans call for the construction of the missing section of the T6 road, from Vojvodjanska Street to the intersection with Marka Celebonovica Street (2a-2a), thereby completing the T6 arterial road along its entire planned length. According to the documentation, the T6 is intended to connect the New Belgrade-Surcin highway section, an extension of the E763 Belgrade-Pozega highway, with the Northern Tangent.

The project entails the construction and reconstruction of several roundabouts. One will be built immediately after Pupin Bridge, followed by others at the intersections with Ugrinovacka Street, the Novi Sad highway, Milana Resetara Street, Megarska Street, Marka Celebonovica Street, Surcinska Street, and finally, Vojvodjanska Street.

As previously announced by Belgrade Mayor Aleksandar Sapic, this will serve as a “sort of new inner arterial semi-ring road.”

The procurement is being conducted by the Belgrade Land Development Public Agency, the deadline for submitting applications is November 5, and further details (in Serbian) can be found HERE.
