Industrial production in Serbia records 0.5% decline in August compared to last year

Industrial production in Serbia in August 2026 was 0.5% lower than in August 2025, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced.


Compared to the 2025 average, industrial production in August was 4.6% lower.

Industrial production in the January–August 2026 period was 0.1% higher than in the same period of 2025.

The current seasonally adjusted index for August 2026, compared to July 2026, shows a 0.6% decline for total industry and a 1% decline for the manufacturing sector.

By sector, in August 2026 compared to August 2025, industrial production rose by 6.7% in the mining sector, fell by 1.8% in the manufacturing sector, and increased by 0.8% in the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector.
