Serbia wants to be center of innovative financial projects

Serbia has stable public finances, a strong IT sector and one of the strongest developer communities in the region, and that is why the goal is for our country to become a place where innovative financial projects start and then grow towards Europe and the world, said Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali, who met with the leadership of the Solana Foundation and Solana Policy Institute, who are in Belgrade on the occasion of the Solana Blockchain Summit.

– I am glad that our capital is hosting one of the most important blockchain gatherings in the region this year and that people who are building the future of finance are gathering here – Mali said on his Instagram account.

According to him, the discussion focused on improving the Law on Digital Assets, building a modern infrastructure of the financial system and capital markets, including tokenized securities on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, as well as Solana’s participation in Expo 2027.
