Pribojska Banja on luxury tourism map – Investor to invests EUR 15 million in five-star hotel

The members of the Priboj Municipal Assembly have adopted urgent decisions that should accelerate the implementation of two large infrastructure projects worth a total of around two billion dinars, including the construction of a five-star hotel with a wellness and spa center in Pribojska Banja.

The local parliament has adopted the Detailed Regulation Plan for the Banja - Suvo Polje area, which has made one of the key steps towards the implementation of the hotel complex. According to the municipal leadership, the private investor plans to invest around EUR 15 million of its own capital in the construction of a luxury hotel and accompanying facilities.

It was previously announced that the hotel should have 55 accommodation units.

In addition, the members of the Municipal Assembly gave their consent to initiate the procedure for transferring investor rights from the municipality to the PE Roads of Serbia for the construction of a section of the road to the Uvac Monastery.

The rehabilitation of around seven kilometers of the road from Gornje Jabuke via Ljeskovac to the Uvac Monastery is planned. The project will be financed by the European Investment Bank, and the completion of the works is expected by the end of this year or early next year.

The new road should improve the connection between Priboj and Cajetina, shortening the current route from 60 to 32.5 kilometers. At the same time, it is expected to further stimulate the development of tourism on the Priboj-Uvac-Zlatibor route.

The local government states that both projects will be implemented without allocating funds from the municipal budget, while the investments are expected to make a significant contribution to the tourism and economic development of this part of Serbia.
