Norwegians planning to build fishing equipment factory near Merosina – 400 jobs planned

Representatives of one of the largest Norwegian companies involved in the production of fishing equipment have visited a potential location in the settlement of Jug Bogdanovac, in the municipality of Merosina, where they are considering the possibility of building a production facility.

According to information from the meeting, the implementation of the investment could enable the creation of around 400 jobs.

The location in Jug Bogdanovac, according to reports, has the necessary infrastructure and is located near the route of the highway, the construction of which is underway. In that zone, space is planned for the development of economic activities, which is why the location is presented as a possible location for the implementation of the planned investment.

The tour of the location was attended by Assistant Minister of Economy Igor Crnoborac, who informed the company representatives that the Ministry of Economy was ready to provide support in the implementation of the project.

The Mayor of the Municipality of Merosina, Sasa Jovanovic, presented the economic potential of the municipality and opportunities for future investments. The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Nisava Administrative District, Petar Babovic, and his associate, who presented the potential of the Nisava Administrative District.
