'Ikea' is coming to electronics market with Chinese company

The largest world producer of Furniture "Ikea" is planning to try out the market of consumer electronics products refined together with the Chinese company "TCL Multimedia", as it was announced by the representatives of Swedish company.
"Ikea" is planning to launch a line of furniture amended with televisions and audio systems in five European cities in June, in seven European countries this fall, while other markets can expect Swedish company's innovations in the summer of 2013.
Televisions, cordless audio systems, inserted CD / DVD / Blu-ray players will be manufactured especially for "Ikea".
- For us this is a big step, and we will have a special offer for the market - said the Director of the Sector for living room furniture manufacture, Magnus Bundeson.
The new line of furniture is designed to unburden a living area of a large number of wires and remotes. According to sales director for "Ikea Sweden", the price of this furniture starts of 6,500 crowns (960 USD) for the simplest kits.
Cooperation with China is not the first with technology manufacturers. Whole decade, Swedish company has been selling sophisticated technology with the American company "Whirlpool", and in the previous three years, "Ikea" has been selling technique in conjunction with "Electrolux" .
"Ikea", which owns a chain of 294 stores in 26 countries, in 2010/11 financial year, it has achieved a record net profit of 2.97 billion EUR.
Chinese company, "TCL Multimedia" sells TVs and other electronic media under brands of TCL, ROWA, Thomson and RCA. In 2011, the company achieved an operating profit of 113.8 million USD.
