Greeks coming to Borca? – Vero Holding announces expansion in Serbia and North Macedonia

The Greek Vero Holding SA continues its investment cycle and announces new stores in Serbia and North Macedonia. Nikos Veropoulos, the owner of Vero Holding, announced the opening of new stores in Serbia and North Macedonia for the Greek OT. He stated that the group had achieved sales of EUR 206 million in 2025, a growth of 5.7%.

In an interview for OT, Veropoulos officially announced the opening of new stores in Serbia and North Macedonia. According to him, the group plans to build a new Vero store in Strumica by the end of this year, but also to start work on another location for which they have been waiting for the necessary permits for more than two years.

– In Serbia, we bought a store on 4,500 square meters with 120 parking spaces and its opening is planned for 2027 – he said.

According to Retail Serbia, the facility in Borca is currently home to Roda Megamarket. The company plans to expand its operations in Serbia by entering new cities, Retail Serbia has learned.

The company currently operates in North Macedonia with 16 stores and in Serbia with 8. The group’s turnover is expected to exceed EUR 200 million this year, with sales growth of between 6 and 7%.
