Greek company VERO Holding announces new investments in Serbia – Construction of a 12,000 m2 logistics center on outskirts of Belgrade

The Greek company VERO Holding has announced new investments in Serbia and North Macedonia.

Nikos Veropoulos, president of VERO Holding, announced new stores in two Balkan countries where the group operates. He told the Greek Food Reporter that in early 2026, Vero would take over a 4,000 m2 facility from a competitor on the outskirts of the capital.

He added that the company had purchased 20,000 m2 of land and that a 12,000 m2 logistics and distribution center was planned to be built on that location.

– The development of the company Vero in Serbia is based on the principle of trust, because it places brands that it exclusively imports on its shelves and in its refrigerators, which gives it a competitive and commercial advantage – Nikos Veropoulos told Food Reporter, emphasizing that the growth rate in Serbia was 6.5%.

Vero has announced the expansion of its retail network in North Macedonia. A new store is planned to open by the end of this year.

The company also announced that it has purchased land in North Macedonia for another facility. It also plans to modernize its existing retail network in North Macedonia in 2025 and 2026.

The Greek company VERO Holding operates in Serbia and North Macedonia with Vero and Super Vero markets, as well as Jumbo franchise stores.
