As explained by the association, the first step they have taken is a survey with which they want to collect as much data as possible on the real needs of passengers, in order to present the results to airlines, airports and other institutions involved in the planning and development of air transport.
– A large number of citizens from Nis and surrounding cities today travel to Milan via Belgrade, Skopje, Pristina or Sofia, which often involves additional costs, longer trips and more complicated travel arrangements. At the same time, a significant number of our people live in Lombardy, as well as in southern Switzerland, and they regularly travel between Serbia, Italy and Switzerland – Serbinfo states.
They note that they want to determine the real interest in the Nis-Milan route and how many passengers would use such a connection during the year.
They invite people from the diaspora to participate in the research and note that the survey is anonymous and that it takes less than two minutes to complete. Link to the survey: https://forms.gle/5ZQb7j6MXVPVquBA9.
They emphasize that airlines base decisions on opening new routes primarily on assessing demand and market potential and that they therefore want to collect as many responses as possible in order to have a realistic picture of passenger needs.
