Tender for supervision of the reconstruction of Kalenic Market announced

The Secretariat for Investments of the City of Belgrade has announced a public procurement procedure for professional supervision of the reconstruction of the Kalenic Market, which includes the roofing of the market and the extension of the premises.

This is an open public procurement procedure for supervision services on the construction site, the estimated value of which is 55 million dinars.

The subject of supervision refers to the reconstruction of one of the most famous markets in Belgrade, which, after the completion of the project, should receive a more modern look, improved functionality and additional commercial spaces through the extension of the premises and roofing.

Let us remind that the tender for the reconstruction of this facility is also underway. The estimated value of this job is 2.36 billion dinars excluding VAT, or about EUR 20.1 million.

The procurement was announced by the Secretariat for Investments of the City of Belgrade, and the deadline for submitting bids is June 30. See more details about the tender HERE.

The reconstruction of one of Belgrade’s most famous markets was announced back in 2019, when the City of Belgrade organized a public presentation of the urban planning project that envisaged covering part of the market and building new shops between Maksima Gorkog and Njegoseva streets. At that time, it was announced that the works would start in 2020 and that the Kalenic Market would get a completely new look.
