The Serbian crypto platform Veli, founded by a team of domestic experts with extensive international experience, has sold its smart investment software system and a perpetual license to use the source code to Danish fintech company Penning.

The transaction directly connects advanced technology developed in Serbia with the strictly regulated financial market of the European Union.

The Danish company Penning, which was among the first in its country to secure a full license under the new European MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) regulation, will use this technological “brain” of the application to launch a new platform called Penning Wealth.

Crypto-savings on “autopilot”

The essence of the technology developed by the Serbian team lies in simplifying the complicated world of cryptocurrencies for the average user. Instead of daily chart monitoring and stressful trading, Veli has created a system that functions like an “autopilot” for investing.

The software offers mathematically optimized, long-term strategies and automatically balances the user’s portfolio (e.g. maintains an ideal balance between the safest cryptocurrencies). In this way, users are enabled to set up their savings plans in just a few clicks and invest wisely without prior expert knowledge of the stock market.

The financial details of the agreement remain a trade secret, but it is known that the entire base of current European users of the Veli platform will be integrated into the Danish system by mid-2026 at the latest.

In order for users to continue using the application they are used to, Penning has committed to maintaining the complete visual identity, product layout and advisor portal originally designed by the Serbian team.

The Veli platform was launched by local entrepreneurs with the aim of bridging the gap between traditional banking and the new digital age. The quality of their software was previously recognized by the local investment fund Omorika Ventures, which supported the development of the startup.

The latest agreement with the Danes is a great confirmation for the entire domestic technology scene. It proves that software solutions designed and programmed in Serbia possess a quality that can directly transform and modernize the financial industry at the level of the whole of Europe.
