If there are no new extensions, passengers will once again start and end at Novi Sad, not Petrovaradin, from September. Namely, as Novi Sad Mayor Zarko Micin pointed out for TV Pink, work on access roads for the temporary railroad stop in Rumenacki put near the Novi Sad Technical and Passenger Station will start on Monday and, as he said, these works will be completed in September.
In other words, this means that after less than two years since the November accident, trains should finally star making a stop in this city again.
Let us remind that, since the collapse of the canopy, the Petrovaradin rail station has been used as the starting and final station for passengers from Novi Sad, which is neither envisaged nor planned for that volume of passengers.
Regarding the final rehabilitation and re-operation of the main rail station in Novi Sad, Micin said that wing D should be functional by the end of the year.
