The capital of Serbia will once again be transformed by REBEC (Real Estate Belgrade Exhibition & Conference), which will be held for the 19th time this year, at the Radisson Collection Stari Mlin Hotel. Under the umbrella slogan “United Differences”, this leading specialized event in South Eastern Europe (SEE) will bring together leading investors, developers, lawyers, bankers, architects, consultants and decision-makers to map the next phase of the real estate market development.

Through credibility built over 18 years, REBEC has brought to the domestic and regional market topics that at that time seemed like a distant future - from the first story about modern shopping centers and retail parks, through the introduction of the first green certificates, active support for regulating the valuation market and the brokerage market, to today’s expansion of luxury Branded Residences concepts.

REBEC platform for dialogue and partnerships

This year’s REBEC focuses on tectonic shifts in the industry – from the redefinition of traditional workspaces and the integration of advanced ESG strategies, to the expansion of luxury and longevity concepts in housing and hospitality.

REBEC has a unique ability to bring together stakeholders from seemingly disparate worlds. The slogan “United Differences” perfectly captures this mission. While tackling difficult infrastructure and energy issues on the one hand, global hotel titans, regional developer leaders and leading consultants will be setting standards for long-term property sustainability on the other. Whether it’s a renaissance of office space or a new era of humane housing that focuses on improving the quality of life for residents, REBEC remains the place where green theory is translated into operational ROI.

A new energy challenge

This year, true to its tradition of visionary market mapping, REBEC opens a topic that represents the greatest infrastructure and investment challenge of the decade: the balance between critical energy sustainability and the explosive growth of Data Centers.

The latest escalation of the Iran crisis has once again pushed energy stability into the spotlight of the global economy. Fluctuations in energy prices and uncertainty in their distribution occur in parallel with the unstoppable continuous rise of artificial intelligence (AI) development and mass digitalization, which is why Southeastern Europe is rapidly becoming a magnet for investments in Data Centers.

These facilities are extreme consumers of electricity and cooling resources. REBEC 2026 poses a critical question for investors and decision-makers: how to develop these “digital fortresses” in conditions of global energy instability and without endangering local systems? Through exclusive discussions, answers will be sought in the implementation of advanced solutions - from direct connection to renewable energy sources (RES) and energy storage, to the application of data science in consumption optimization.

From energy to luxury hospitality

Here are some key topics that will mark this year’s program:

• The traditional office is no longer just a place to work, but a tool for corporate culture and innovation. This panel will dissect the phenomenon of “growth towards quality.” Experts will discuss how existing facilities are adapting to new environmental standards, how co-working and flexible spaces are integrated into traditional portfolios, and what exactly the IT and tech sector requires of its physical headquarters today;

• The luxury real estate market in the SEE region is undergoing a transformation thanks to the entry of global brands. The discussion will focus on the synergy between top-notch hospitality and residential units. How global giants are bringing international management standards to our region and how professional asset management ensures long-term returns and preservation of premium value of such investments;

• Sustainability has ceased to be a legal obligation and has become a key factor in the longevity of assets. The panel will address the issue of how to successfully implement ESG strategies in the real estate sector, how technical innovations extend the life cycle of buildings and how investments in “green architecture” are transformed into real ROI;

• Real estate buyers are no longer just buying square meters and a location - they are buying time, health and well-being. This panel deals with a new paradigm of humane housing: from the installation of advanced air purification systems and circadian lighting (Longevity Housing), through social sustainability and creating communities within buildings, to technology that serves to make the daily lives of residents easier.

REBEC 2026 once again confirms its role as the “spiritus movens” of the regional real estate industry. In addition to highly professional panels, the specialized event also brings exclusive opportunities for networking, B2B meetings and connecting the public and private sectors, with the participation of delegates from the most important public and private institutions from Serbia and the region.
