Another 30,000 tons of diesel released from reserves – Ban on export of oil and oil derivatives as motor fuel extended until end of June

The Government of Serbia has decided to release another 30,000 tons of diesel from reserves, which, together with the “quantity previously taken over by oil companies, brings the total to 65,000 tons,” said Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic.

– We have also decided to extend the ban on the export of oil and oil derivatives for engine propulsion for another month, until the end of June – the minister wrote on her Instagram profile.

She added that the ban applied to the export of diesel, gasoline and crude oil by all modes of transport, and that excise duties had been reduced by 25%.

– The situation on the world market is increasingly complex and challenging, and there is no indication how long the disruptions will last, which is creating great pressure on our economy. The measures we are taking to protect our citizens are not easy for the state, as they significantly reduce budget revenues and increase expenditures, but we have readily responded to the challenges – stated Djedovic Handanovic
