Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic stated after a meeting with the President and CEO of MOL Group Hernadi Zsolt that negotiations on the sale of Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS) and future relations within the company were not easy and that there were red lines that Serbia could not cross.

– Our goal is for the Refinery in Pancevo to continue operating at full capacity, but also for MOL to take over or replace the obligations that NIS undertook in the past, which are important for Serbia – the minister wrote in a post on Instagram.

She stated that talks with representatives of the Hungarian company MOL would continue in the coming days in Belgrade, while MOL would also conduct negotiations with Gazpromneft and Gazprom.
