Support for sale of Serbian wines in Chinese province of Shandong agreed – New investments also likely

At a meeting of the Serbian delegation with the Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Shandong Province, Lin Wu, an agreement was reached on concrete support for the sale of Serbian wines, as well as all other food and agricultural products, on this large Chinese market.

Serbian Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarovic, who is on an official visit to the city of Jinan in the maritime province of Shandong, the third largest province in the People’s Republic of China by economic strength, stated that those products were competitive in price on the Chinese market, and that this was an opportunity provided by the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries.

– It is in Shandong that we sell Serbian wines and all those products that can compete with Chinese ones in price and quality – said Mesarovic and added that concrete support would also be followed by the realization of new investments.

On this occasion, the Minister also presented companies that produce quality wine from Serbia, whose representatives were part of the Serbian delegation.

That day, in Jinan, in the presence of Deputy Governor Sun Ximin, a Business Forum was held, attended by companies that already operate in our country, those that are just in the process of implementing their investment projects, as well as those companies that want to invest in Serbia.

– I was particularly pleased to have had the opportunity to hear from absolutely all companies that they are familiar with the economic opportunities and long-term political and economic stability in our country, and that these are precisely the main reasons why they decided to invest in our country or why they are planning potential investments in our country – the minister wrote on her Instagram profile.

She added that she expected that the forum would yield a number of concrete results in Serbia already in 2026.
