Inclusion of Serbian automotive companies in BYD factory supply chain in Hungary being considered

Serbian companies involved in the production of parts and components for the automotive industry could soon be included in the permanent supply chain of the Chinese BYD factory in Hungary. The inclusion of our companies in the BYD factory supply chain was one of the topics of discussion between Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarovic in Shenzhen and Stella Li, Vice President of BYD.

– BYD is a multinational company that produces electric vehicles, batteries and solutions for renewable energy sources. The company is one of the largest manufacturers of electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as a leading manufacturer of batteries for electric vehicles. In addition to cars, it also develops electric buses, rail systems, solar technologies and energy storage systems – said Mesarovic.

She added that BYD saw Serbia as the most competitive and predictable environment in which they wanted to develop further cooperation.

– We also discussed important new investments with companies that BYD does business with, which could potentially invest in our country – Mesarovic stated on Instagram.
