Austria's Grainer to buy Hipol Plast from Odzaci

After the first unsuccessful attempt to sell Hipol Plast at an auction, the second public auction was scheduled for March 22nd, with the starting price set at EUR 1.25 million. The only company to accept high requirements for potential buyers is Austria's Grainer, which has bought the auction documentation. It is a respectable company engaged in the same business as Hipol Plast.

– It is now almost for certain that Grainer will buy part of our plant at the second auction and take over 60 workers, whereas remaining ten workers will be moved to our base plant - said Hipol Deputy CEO Bozidar Markus.

– New owners intend to invest between seven and eight million euros and hire 100 new workers over the next three years. With such potentials, their plan is to sextuple the production of plastic glasses for dairy products.

– We are very satisfied with the fact that we can say that the sale of Hipol Plast is almost for certain and that the buyer is a very respectable company from Austria, whose core business is identical to ours - said Hipol CEO Rajko Simin.

– The agreed social program will be fully implemented, so that nobody will be unsatisfied or lose a job.
