More flights from Belgrade Airport this summer – Route to Toronto being renewed and 7 new ones introduced in Europe

From Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport, planes will fly to a larger number of destinations in the new summer season, and among the novelties is the re-establishment of direct flights with Toronto after a decades-long break, as well as the introduction of eight new European routes, Belgrade Airport, a member of the VINCI Airports network, announced today.

Flights to Santorini and Brač

As specified, a total of eight new European and regional routes have been introduced this season, including Santorini (Greece), Riga (Latvia), Baku (Azerbaijan), Nizhny Novgorod (Russia), Cologne (Germany), Pisa (Italy), Brač (Croatia) and Seville (Spain).

At the same time, frequencies have increased on several existing summer routes such as Alghero (Sardinia, Italy), Palermo (Sicily, Italy), Chania (Crete, Greece) and Alicante (Spain), offering passengers more choice and flexibility during the holiday season.

The press release adds that plans are already confirmed to launch direct flights to Tenerife (Spain) and Tromsø (Norway) by the end of the year, further enriching the destination offer beyond the summer period.

The expansion of the destination network and the growth in traffic are the result of continuous investments under the concession, with a strong focus on improving efficiency and enhancing the overall passenger experience, it is pointed out.

Dynamic season expected

Alongside network development, the airport continues to upgrade infrastructure and operational processes in line with the standards of the global VINCI Airports network.

Belgrade Airport serves 118 regular and charter destinations, and 28 airlines operate regular and charter flights.
