Fashion and Costume Museum established in Novi Sad

Novi Sad is getting a Fashion and Costume Museum, which, as announced by the Provincial Government, will be the first museum in our country, but also in the region, dedicated to fashion, thus joining the countries that classify fashion as an art.

The work of the museum will, as stated in the announcement, be the epicenter of domestic fashion and design, a place for exhibitions of both domestic and foreign fashion designers, workshops and discussions on the position of fashion in Serbia, with the potential to contribute to the overall economy.

The Fashion and Costume Museum will be part of the Theater Museum of Vojvodina until its independence, it was specified.

The Provincial Government and the City of Novi Sad have made a decision on the space where the museum will be headquartered, and in the coming period a decision will be made on the first director and expert council of the institution.

This decision was made at the initiative of President of the Provincial Government Maja Gojkovic.
