Construction of passenger and customs terminal with new facilities at Nestin border crossing point underway: Building permit issued for works

The Provincial Secretariat for Energy, Construction and Transport has issued the Republic Property Directorate with a construction permit for the construction of a passenger and customs terminal at the Nestin border crossing point near Backa Palanka. As stated in the construction permit decision, this is Unit 1 with the necessary infrastructure.

The plan is to build a control facility for the Ministry of the Interior and the Customs Administration (GF, GFA 208.65 m2), a canopy for passport and customs control (GFA 709.70 m2), a control cabin for the Ministry of the Interior and the Customs Administration (6 cabins, GFA of one cabin 8.80 m2), a sanitary facility (GF, GFA 25 m2), a facility for inspecting passenger vehicles (GF, GFA 162.8 m2), a canopy above the parking lot for inspecting buses (GFA 236.47 m2), traffic areas, a reservoir for the hydrant network with a pressure boosting plant, a septic tank, a separator and a well.

The total estimated value of the works is around 230 million dinars excluding VAT.
