Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto said that, after the company MOL finalizes the contract on the purchase of NIS, the oil markets of the three landlocked countries, Slovakia, Hungary and Serbia, will function in a coordinated manner. According to him, the coordination will further strengthen the resistance of these countries to, as he stated, political blackmail of the Ukrainian type. He also emphasized on his Facebook account that the Hungarian government will provide MOL with all the necessary support in the implementation of this process.

Szijjarto stated that he and the Minister of Mining and Energy of Serbia Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic reached an agreement at yesterday’s meeting in Washington on further accelerating the preparatory work for the construction of the Hungarian-Serbian oil pipeline. The new transport route, as he emphasized, should significantly improve the security of oil supply to both countries.
