Goshawk is the first domestic project of a longer-range cruise missile to be publicly presented. The system is designed as an autonomous “loitering” (wandering) munition with a range of up to 150 kilometers, a cruising mode of movement, autonomous navigation and a warhead adapted for precision strikes on high-value targets.
The premiere of Goshawk marks an expansion of the portfolio of Serbian defense companies, which are now developing missiles and ammunition for long-range precision ground strikes, with clear potential for export to the Gulf countries and beyond.
The Goshawk was developed in a partnership between GPTS and EDePro, with the former contributing propulsion technology, while EDePro has experience in guidance and missile technologies.
The name “Goshawk” should not be confused with the American McDonnell Douglas T-45 Goshawk trainer, the British Project GOSHAWK, or other systems with the same name.
