– We discussed all the concrete issues. When we talked about the economy, we also talked about investments - mostly Turkish ones in Serbia. I can announce a major visit, perhaps the most significant one yet, of President Erdogan to our country. I believe that we will be able to sign, which will be mean so much to the people of Kraljevo, Raska and Novi Pazar, a contract on the construction of a high-speed road from Kraljevo to Novi Pazar and Jarinje – Vucic emphasized, as reported by RTS.
He also indicated that the Istanbul-Sofia-Belgrade-Budapest connection would be established not long after.
Vucic emphasized that it had been agreed at the meeting that the joint committee for cooperation between Serbia and Turkey would begin more intensive work next month, and that a co-chair had been appointed from the Serbian side. He also announced that a large friendship group with Turkey would be formed in the Serbian parliament.
According to him, this will correct the shortcomings and delays for which, as he stated, the Serbian side is responsible.
Let us remind that, when it comes to the construction of the Kraljevo-Raska-Novi Pazar expressway, the Spatial Plan related to it was up for review in 2024. This is a section with a planned length of 83.4 kilometers. As indicated at the time, an additional 11.3 km of expressway from Raska to Jarinje are also planned.
As previously indicated, the planned expressway will start from the Adrani interchange and will extend south along a new route, bypassing the Kraljevo construction area on the west side and intersecting the existing (old) Cacak-Kraljevo road, and the road route is planned and designed for a speed of 80 to 100 kilometers per hour.
