Galenika acquires Slovenian Sanofarm – Products and phytotherapy of Italian company ESI

Pharmaceutical company Galenika has acquired a 100% ownership stake in the Slovenian company Sanofarm, further strengthening its position in the Slovenian and Croatian markets and continuing its strategic expansion within the European Union, it was announced today.

Through this acquisition, Galenika also assumes exclusive distribution of products from renowned Italian manufacturers Pharmalife Research and ESI in Slovenia, as well as the Pharmalife brand in Croatia.

The acquisition of Sanofarm represents an important step in the further internationalization of our business and the continuation of our partnership with Pharmalife Research, while also broadening our offering to include products from the Italian brand ESI, a renowned manufacturer of phytotherapeutic and dietary products – said Ricardo Vian Marques, General Manager of Galenika.

Sanofarm is an established distributor of dietary supplements and phytotherapeutic products, with a strong presence in Slovenia and Croatia.

By integrating Sanofarm’s portfolio with Galenika’s products, the company aims to create additional synergies, increase the availability of high-quality products, and further enhance the offering for consumers in these markets.
