Galenika to acquire Slovenian company Sanofarm

Galenika AD Belgrade, Serbia, has notified the Commission for the Protection of Competition of North Macedonia of a concentration by which it will acquire full control of the Slovenian company Sanofarm doo, through the purchase and sale of shares.

Sanofarm d.o.o. is a Slovenian company engaged in the import and distribution of natural products and dietary supplements from Italian manufacturers Pharmalife Research srl and ESI srl. Sanofarm is the exclusive importer for Slovenia and Croatia and has no business activities or revenues in North Macedonia.

The proposed transaction concerns the wholesale market of OTC pharmaceutical products in North Macedonia. The Commission for the Protection of Competition there preliminarily considers that the concentration may be subject to the provisions of the Law on Protection of Competition, but a final decision has not yet been made.

Galenika has a representative office in North Macedonia - Galenika AD Belgrade, Representative Office Skopje, as well as the company Galenika DOOEL Skopje, focused on research and development.
