Inflation in December at 2.7%

Year-on-year inflation in December 2025 was at 2.7%, announced the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia. Month-on-month inflation in December 2025 was at 0.1%, on average.

Prices of goods and services used for personal consumption, by which inflation is measured, in 2025 in relation to 2024 increased by 3.8% on average. Observed by main groups according to the destination of consumption, in December 2025 in relation to the previous month, increase of prices was noted in the groups Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (1.7%), Restaurants and hotels (0.9%), in the groups Health and Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (each by 0.6%), Recreation and culture (0.5%), Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.4%) and in the groups Clothing and footwear and Education (each by 0.1%).

Decrease of prices was noted in the groups Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.5%) and Transport (-0.3%).
