Construction work on facilities intended for the specialized international exhibition EXPO will be completed in the last quarter of this year, said the director of the EXPO 2027 company Danilo Jerinic, adding that the handover of the premises to the participants would begin immediately after that and that they would then begin equipping their premises.

Jerinic told TV Prva that all planned deadlines for the works during 2025 had been met, and that the next major international technical meeting with representatives of the participating countries would be held in March 2026, similar to the one from the previous year, which had been attended by 400 delegates from around 150 countries.

– At that meeting, we also discussed the procedures necessary to begin work on their pavilions... These countries will largely hire domestic companies or hire domestic labor - from lawyers and accountants to construction companies - to participate in the EXPO – said Jerinic.

He also believes that EXPO 2027 will be “the largest global event, at least when it comes to Europe,” and that the organizers must establish a single information portal this year to inform all future participating countries.
