Good news about NIS in next few days, Vucic announces

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that he expected important and good news regarding US sanctions on Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS) in the next few days.

- I expect important news in the next few days. I do not believe that we will wait until January 15, I believe that we will have important news by Monday-Tuesday, I hope good news - Vucic told reporters.

He pointed out that that day wwas the 68th day of the implementation of US sanctions against NIS due to its majority Russian ownership and that since then "not a single drop of oil" had reached Serbia, and that "nobody has felt the consequences".

- I am proud of the state that has shown that it is capable of relieving citizens, of not shifting the blame to others - Vucic said.
