As stated, Serbia will be among the first countries in the region to introduce this procedure in full, thereby further improving the level of safety and compliance with European standards in the field of air transport.
Testing will be conducted on flight and cabin crews of domestic and foreign aircraft using airports in Serbia, and checks will be performed by specially trained and authorized aviation inspectors of the Directorate.
The Air Traffic Law prescribes zero tolerance for the presence of alcohol among aircraft crew members.
To measure the amount of alcohol, certified and calibrated devices for measuring alcohol in the breath will be used, which have evidentiary value in court proceedings.

The testing will be performed in the aircraft cabin, and the data on the conducted tests will be entered into a centralized database managed by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
