NBS implements state-of-the-art technological solutions to upgrade payment operations in Serbia

The NBS has successfully implemented the latest technological solutions within its payment systems, thereby further enhancing the security, interoperability and efficiency of payment operations in Serbia.

As part of the modernization of the DinaCard system, the NBS, in cooperation with banks and relevant technical partners, has put into operation the following key components:

- a new DinaCard Switch, based on a modern high-performance architecture, which ensures a more stable, faster and more resilient transaction-processing system;

- the DinaCard Secure solution for payment cards, aligned with the highest international security standards (EMVCo), which enables strong customer authentication (SCA) and thereby significantly increases protection against fraud in e-commerce;

- the DinaCard Directory Server and Access Control Server (ACS), which enable an advanced user-verification model and allow the DinaCard brand to participate in global 3D Secure standards;

- a new Dispute Management solution, which improves the efficiency of the dispute-resolution process for contested transactions and ensures more transparent, accurate, and faster communication among participants.

– By implementing these systems, all conditions have been created for banks in Serbia to issue DinaCard payment cards with full support for secure transactions, in line with the most advanced global standards of electronic security and user protection. This enhancement, achieved primarily through the application of domestic solutions, provides added value for both users and merchants, enabling simpler, safer and more reliable payments in the digital environment – the NBS says in a press release.
