Ariston plant opens in Nis - Serial production to begin in April

The Italian company Ariston, which manufactures cylinders, tanks and heat pumps, has officially opened its factory in the “North 2” work zone in Nis. According to the plan, 300 workers will be employed in this plant.

The cornerstone for this plant, let us remind, was laid in July last year.

- We were here a year and a half ago and there was nothing. I am happy that employment and training are now starting here. There should be a trial period of two or three months and then serial production will start in April. It will employ around 300 workers, which is particularly valuable for us, after the departure of Benetton and some others - said President Vucic.

As stated by President of the Ariston Group Paulo Merloni, the new plant will produce cylinders and parts for heat pumps, which, as he pointed out, is very important for the energy future of Europe.

- This is a capital investment. We have managed to create the best possible production, we will make cylinders, which are necessary parts of heat pumps, which are very important to provide heating in Europe in the future - said Merloni.

As he added, this is just the beginning, and in the next three months a certain type of validation will take place, and in the second quarter of 2026 the production of pump parts will begin.

The company built a hall on 30,000 square meters with an investment of EUR 75 million. According to the announcements, it is planned to invest EUR 13.6 million by the end. The complex itself covers 150,000 square meters.

- Ariston is coming at the right time. We will soon have a new investment in Nis - said Vucic.

The Ariston company produces heating systems and boilers, and in Svilajnac it built a small factory in 2019.
