Official Gazette to be turned into limited liability company

On Thursday, the Serbian government adopted a decision to change the legal form of the Public Enterprise “Official Gazette,” from a public enterprise to a limited liability company, under the full business name “Official Gazette” limited liability company Belgrade (“Sluzbeni glasnik” drustvo s ogranicenom odgovornoscu Beograd).

The abbreviated business name of the limited liability company is Sluzbeni glasnik d.o.o. The public enterprise continues to operate as a limited liability company and ceases to operate as a public enterprise, the Decision states.

It is added that the limited liability company continues to perform the activities of a public enterprise, in the same way as before the change in legal form.

The share capital of the public enterprise, which amounts to approximately 1.3 billion dinars, is converted into the share capital of a limited liability company.

The transition of public companies to LLCs is carried out in accordance with the implementation of the new Law on the Management of Business Enterprises Owned by the Republic of Serbia from 2024, which envisages the transformation of a large number of state-owned enterprises.

Among the first to change their legal form are the Official Gazette, Srbijasume, Srbijavode, Ski Resorts of Serbia, Fruska Gora National Park and Djerdap National Park.
